Butterfly – Feature Overview 

Dual 3340 Oscillators: Both sides feature identical, fully equipped oscillators based on the 3340 IC, offering highly stable tuning and precise 1V/oct tracking across the entire range. 

5 Waveform Outputs + Wavefolder: Each oscillator provides five waveform outputs and includes its own wavefolder engine. A dedicated MOD/MAIN output per side features a built-in VCA and a sequential waveform switch, allowing each side to function as a complete synth voice. 

Cross-Modulation Architecture: Because both oscillators track accurately and share the same feature set, Butterfly offers powerful internal cross-modulation options. Switches and index controls make it easy to shape everything from simple tones to rich, evolving complex FM sounds.

FM + Sync Combinations: Each side can combine FM and sync simultaneously. These combinations allow for extremely animated, harmonically rich tones that stay musically tuned while exploring complex textures and overtones.

Complete Dual-Voice Behavior: When paired with an envelope generator, CV can be routed into the modulation-bus VCA, using the MOD outputs to create a full dual complex-oscillator synth voice. The 5-step sequential waveform switch can also be clocked or gated externally, making Butterfly ideal for interactive basslines, percussion, and rhythmic sound design.

East + West Coast Synthesis in One Module: Butterfly blends classic East-coast precision with West-coast timbral modulation. With high-accuracy tracking, FM, wavefolding, and bi-directional sync between oscillators, the module offers an exceptionally wide sonic range—there’s virtually no limit to how far you can take it.
